If the only solution to that question that you can create in your solution kidney is “a short low.. bar.. like, the bar is low.. barlow” then you aren’t spending enough time seriously gripping yourself by your collar and your cravat and telling yourself, firmly, to get serious.
Wikipedia defines Brian Barlow as “a Toronto comedian, a member of the comedy troupe the Gurg, and creator of The Loner Show“. But does wikipedia’s deffinition truly grasp the nub of Brian’s Gist? Basically. Yes.
Brian’s creation, the Loner show, a comedy show in which comedians may not perform standup, but must perform solo, is perhpas the axel around which Toronto’s largest independant comedy night, Laugh Sabbath Presents…. The manic, always silly performances Brian has strewn across the comedy highway like so many thumbtacks stopped everyone dead in their tracks when the show debuted, originally as part of the “Righteous Wednesdays” show at the former Oasis (now the Savannah Room). His absurd creations and whimsy developed into a unique and inimitable style that has, thankfully, fueled a number of films, which we have the privilage to show you now.
So without further ado, Brian’s films.
